Al Nassr approaches Joao Felix, Benfica risks disappointment

According to Fabrizio Romano, Al Nassr — the club where Cristiano Ronaldo plays — is in serious talks to acquire Joao Felix from Chelsea.

The Saudi Arabian club has submitted a permanent transfer proposal to Chelsea and a contract proposal to the 25-year-old player — the deal is expected to be finalized soon.

Al Nassr’s swift move has put Benfica in a difficult position — the Portuguese club, Felix’s former team, was previously a strong candidate to secure his signature.

Although Benfica has attempted to bring back their academy graduate, Al Nassr’s financial strength has become a factor that the eagle-emblemed club finds difficult to match.

“Al Nassr are in advanced talks to sign João Félix and hijack Benfica’s move. Understand Al Nassr have sent permanent deal proposal to Chelsea and contract proposal to João,” wrote Romano.
