Arkhan Fikri has chance to return for U-23 national team in ASEAN Cup final

Arkhan Fikri — Arema FC midfielder — has a chance to rejoin Indonesia U-23 national team for the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 final against Vietnam.

The young player previously missed the match when Indonesia U-23 drew 0-0 with Malaysia in their final Group A game — which took place at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on July 21.

Although included in the substitute list for yesterday’s semifinal against Thailand, coach Gerald Vanenburg decided not to field Fikri — who is still in injury recovery phase.

Without the Arema FC midfielder’s presence, Indonesia U-23 team still managed to advance to the final after defeating Thailand on penalties with a score of 7-6.
