Wrexham Reportedly Targeting Former Manchester United Midfielder Christian Eriksen

According to the player’s agent, Wrexham – the Championship promotion club – has reportedly made a surprising move to sign free agent Christian Eriksen. However, an ESPN source denies any official approach.

The Denmark international midfielder with 144 caps – who has recorded over 300 Premier League appearances with Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford and Manchester United – left Old Trafford last month.

Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots told Daily Mail:

“Wrexham is a hugely impressive project, but Christian still wants to play in a first-tier competition and he absolutely wants to stay in Western Europe.”

Clubs from Saudi Arabia, United States, Turkey and Brazil are reportedly interested in signing the former Ajax and Inter Milan player.

Wrexham has been active in the transfer market, signing several new players:

  • Danny Ward
  • Ryan Hardie
  • Lewis O’Brien
  • George Thomason
  • Liberato Cacace
  • Josh Windass

The Hollywood-owned club by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will start their first Championship season against Southampton on August 9.
