Emerson Royal Transfer Drama: From Besiktas to Brazil Return

Emerson Royal experienced a dramatic turn in his transfer saga from AC Milan — the Brazilian wing-back is set to return to his homeland.

Initially, the 26-year-old player had reached a verbal agreement with Besiktas — the club offered a loan scheme with a permanent purchase option worth 10 million euros.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had even given his “here we go” signal for this move, but the plan hit a snag in the final stages.

Jose Boto — Flamengo’s Director — successfully intervened in the negotiations causing Besiktas to withdraw from the agreement. The Rio de Janeiro-based club then secured Royal’s transfer for 9 million euros from AC Milan.
