Aymeric Laporte to Rejoin Athletic Bilbao in 2025

According to Diario Sport, Aymeric Laporte is set to leave Al Nassr and return to Europe, with Athletic Bilbao identified as his next destination in the summer transfer window of 2025.

The Spanish center-back — a former Manchester City defender — has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement to join the Basque club, where he first rose to prominence. Laporte is expected to sign a three- to four-year contract with Athletic Bilbao.

Although the transfer negotiations between Athletic and Al Nassr are ongoing, there is no official information yet regarding the transfer fee required to secure the 191 cm tall defender.

Should the move be finalized, Laporte’s return to La Liga would significantly strengthen Athletic Bilbao’s defense ahead of the upcoming season.
