Endrick Suffers Hamstring Injury, Out Until Mid-September

According to ESPN, Real Madrid forward Endrick Felipe is expected to be sidelined until mid-September due to recurring hamstring injury issues.

The 19-year-old Brazilian international — has experienced a series of hamstring problems in recent months that forced him to miss the end of LaLiga season and the Club World Cup.

Endrick’s last appearance for Madrid came against Sevilla on May 18 — when he sustained a hamstring injury in his right leg. Despite joining the squad for training camp in the United States, he suffered another hamstring setback.

The recovery from this latest injury is estimated to take 8 to 10 weeks. Endrick will definitely miss the first four LaLiga matches:

  • Osasuna
  • Real Oviedo
  • Real Mallorca
  • Real Sociedad

He will also be absent during the season’s first international break when Brazil faces Chile and Bolivia.

Despite loan offers from several clubs, ESPN sources indicate Endrick is likely to remain at Madrid this season. Coach Xabi Alonso described Endrick’s development as a “natural process” and expects the young player to contribute to the team.
