BloodThirstyKings Regroups for Honor of Kings

After staying off the radar for quite a time, former S8UL Esports’ MLBB squad has officially reformed BloodThirstyKings to compete in Honor of Kings circuit.

Previously, S8UL’s MLBB team consisted of the BTK roster, which competed in the North American Challenger Tournament and was frequently represented the US at global MLBB events.

Shortly after S8UL acquired the team, they were supposed to play in the upcoming MSC x EWC 2025 tournament starting in two days (July 23rd). However, two players, Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun and Jang “Hoon” Seong-hun, faced severe penalties from Moonton for allegedly violating sponsorship rules, resulted in S8UL’s disqualification from the event.

The violation stemmed from their livestreams promoting HoK, a major competitor to MLBB. The players highlighted in the drama publicly defended themselves, highlighting inconsistencies in Moonton’s rulebook, as they claimed the promotion happened outside the organizer’s restricted dates.

This decision led the entire S8UL roster to leave MLBB esports completely and committed to HoK, which had supported them during the controversy. Today, they were announced through HoK social media accounts and are set to play a big part in the upcoming North American HoK esports scene.

BTK won’t be the only invited North American team for HoK esports. Further announcements are expected, at least, shortly after the KWC 2025 concludes in Saudi Arabia.

The BTK HoK Roster:

  • Jang “Hoon” Seong-hun

  • Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun
