Denny Hamlin Claims Dramatic Victory at Dover After Rain Delay

Denny Hamlin secured his 58th career victory at Dover Motor Speedway — an achievement earned after facing various challenges on the track.

The race was temporarily halted due to rain soaking the track, but after an hour-long delay, the battle resumed with eight laps remaining. Competition intensified when Christopher Bell attempted to pass on the outside — but his effort ended in a spin at Turn 4.

In overtime, Chase Briscoe emerged as Hamlin’s main challenger. The two drivers engaged in an intense duel until the finish line, with Hamlin maintaining the lead to claim his fourth victory of the 2025 season.

Final race results:
* Denny Hamlin (Winner)
* Chase Briscoe (Second)
* Alex Bowman (Third)
* Kyle Larson (Fourth)
* Ty Gibbs (Fifth)

“Things were going pretty well before the rain. Then had to endure a few restarts. It was tough, they gave me a run for it. This Progressive Toyota team did amazing… winning at Dover is super special to me,” stated Hamlin.
