Malaysia U-23 coach wary of Indonesia’s physical advantages

According to ASTRO Arena, Malaysia U-23 national team coach Mohd Nafuzi Bin Muhammad Zain shared his views ahead of the match at ASEAN Cup U-23 2025.

“The majority of Indonesian players indeed have slightly better physicality than Malaysia, especially in terms of attacking, defending, and substitute players,” stated Nafuzi Zain.

“Physically, Indonesia is indeed superior. However, when playing for Malaysia, we certainly don’t want to lose to Indonesia. We will deliver our best performance to ensure positive results for Malaysia,” he added.

The Malaysian coach emphasized the importance of all players’ contributions — both starters and substitutes must give maximum effort for the team’s benefit.
