Pedro Acosta claims first 2025 MotoGP podium with KTM at Czech GP

Pedro Acosta achieved a remarkable milestone by securing his first podium of the season with KTM at the Czech GP — a turning point after a challenging start to the campaign.

The 21-year-old rider finished third in the main race, complementing his impressive performance after claiming second place in the sprint race. This success marks a crucial moment for the Austrian manufacturer.

“It means a lot to us. The start of the season wasn’t easy, and there was a lot of fire between us. When you put two strong characters at the same table, the talks are sometimes quite a mess, but we have to calm everything down and start again,” Acosta stated.

In the final moments of the race, Acosta had to defend his position against Francesco Bagnaia’s pressure. The Spanish rider explained his strategy in managing tires — focusing on preserving the front tire while saving energy for the rear tire in the closing stages.

KTM’s overall performance showed significant improvement — highlighted by Tech3’s Enea Bastianini finishing third in the sprint race, and all KTM motorcycles finishing in the top 10 in the main race.
