Arsenal Takes 30 Players on Asian Tour, Including Three Young Talents

Arsenal has begun their preseason journey to Asia with a 30-player contingent under Mikel Arteta — marking the club’s first visit to the region after a seven-year absence.

The North London team is scheduled for three significant matches:

  • AC Milan at Singapore National Stadium
  • Newcastle United at Singapore National Stadium
  • Tottenham Hotspur at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium

This trip marks a historic moment — the first North London derby to be held outside the United Kingdom.

Arsenal brings several new faces including Martín Zubimendi from Real Sociedad — a midfielder previously targeted by Liverpool and Manchester City. The 26-year-old is projected to fill the midfield position alongside Declan Rice and Martin Ødegaard.

Three academy talents are also joining the tour: Max Dowman and Marli Salmon — both aged 15, and Andre Harriman-Annous who turns 18 this December. Dowman, who scored 14 goals in his last seven matches with the U-18 team, received special praise from Arteta as a “big talent”.
