Rionny Mainaky evaluates Amri/Nita’s performance at Japan Open 2025

According to PBSI press release, mixed doubles head coach Rionny Mainaky provided an in-depth evaluation of Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah‘s performance at Japan Open 2025.

“I appreciate the fighting spirit of Amri/Nita and Jafar/Felisha in this tournament. They showed determination on court regardless of the difficult conditions,” stated Rionny.

The Indonesian pair displayed fierce resistance against home favorites and Indonesia Masters 2025 champions, Hiroki Midorikawa/Natsu Saito — despite ultimately falling short with a score of 21-23, 21-18, 14-21.

“The correction for both of us is to maintain better concentration during critical points,” said Amri after the match. “It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t capitalize on our lead and game point in the first game.”

Rionny emphasized the importance of managing mental pressure — particularly when facing crucial situations at the end of matches.
