Three Indonesian men’s singles players ready for China Open 2025

TVRI will broadcast live the China Open 2025 tournament at Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Changzhou — an event featuring 13 Indonesian representatives including three men’s singles players.

Jonatan Christie, Alwi Farhan, and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting will compete in this BWF World Tour Super 1000 level tournament — with Christie being the only seeded player.

The Indonesian representatives will try to bounce back after their subpar performance at Japan Open last week — where they only managed to reach the quarter-finals.

“Looking at Alwi’s performance at Japan Open, I’m quite satisfied, but there are still some non-technical issues to address,” stated Indra Wijaya, PBSI Men’s Singles Head Coach.

Alwi Farhan emerges as one of Indonesia’s hopes in the tournament scheduled for July 22-27, 2025 — considering his superior physical condition compared to his two seniors.
