Coach Gerald Vanenburg is focusing on preparations for Indonesia U-23 team ahead of crucial match against Malaysia in ASEAN Cup U-23 2025.

Young Garuda — currently leading Group A with six points — will face Young Tigers on Monday (21/7/2025) in decisive match.

Vanenburg’s team managed to collect full points after defeating Brunei and Philippines, while Malaysia — sitting in second place with three points — recorded one victory against Brunei and one loss to Philippines.

In tournament opener, Young Garuda squad showed impressive performance by defeating Brunei 8-0, where Jens Raven scored double hat-trick, while Rayhan Hannan and Arkhan Fikri contributed one goal each.
