Arsenal Begins Asian Tour with 30-Man Squad in Singapore

Mikel Arteta leads Arsenal squad to Singapore — marking the club’s return to Asia after a seven-year absence. The contingent of 30 players will undergo a series of challenging preseason matches.

The North London team is scheduled for three key fixtures:

  • AC Milan at Singapore National Stadium
  • Newcastle United at Singapore National Stadium
  • Tottenham Hotspur at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium

Arsenal’s main challenge — finding scoring consistency after last season’s 69 league goals, well behind Liverpool’s tally of 86 goals.

Significant midfield changes occurred with Martin Zubimendi‘s £51 million arrival from Real Sociedad — a midfielder previously coveted by Liverpool and Manchester City.

Three young talents joining the tour — 15-year-olds Max Dowman and Marli Salmon, along with Andre Harriman-Annous who turns 18 in December. Dowman has already achieved recognition as the youngest scorer in UEFA Youth League history.
