Two Indian Fast Bowlers Injured Ahead of Fourth Test in Manchester

According to ESPNcricinfo, the Indian cricket team faces a challenging situation — two of their fast bowlers, Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh, have suffered injuries ahead of the fourth Test in Manchester.

Anshul Kamboj, a 24-year-old fast bowler from Haryana, has been called up as cover for the final two matches of the five-Test series. Arshdeep injured his bowling hand during training in Beckenham, while Akash Deep is dealing with a groin issue.

The fourth Test at Old Trafford becomes crucial — India has a chance to level the series with England or lose the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Currently, England leads the series 2-1 following their dramatic victory at Lord’s.

“I’ll bowl a lot today, cover all the work of a week, and then go shop,” Arshdeep said before his injury was revealed.

These injury concerns make Jasprit Bumrah’s participation in Manchester increasingly important. Mohammed Siraj — the only Indian fast bowler to play all three Tests — requires careful workload management.
