Eddie Howe denies Alexander Isak’s transfer rumors to Liverpool

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has denied transfer speculation linking Alexander Isak to Liverpool following the Swedish striker’s absence in the 0-4 defeat against Celtic at Celtic Park.

Isak’s non-appearance in the friendly match has fueled rumors about his move to Anfield — Liverpool reportedly ready to submit a bid worth 120 million pounds for the 25-year-old striker.

Newcastle is said to have set a 150 million pounds price tag for Isak — while Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal has also shown interest in the Swedish national team forward.

“There’s nothing to worry about regarding Isak’s absence today. It’s purely a technical decision and has nothing to do with transfer rumors,” Howe explained after the match.
