Barcelona Reaches Agreement to Loan Marcus Rashford from Manchester United

According to Fabrizio Romano, Marcus Rashford is set to join Barcelona from Manchester United on a loan deal with a permanent purchase option.

“Here We go! Barcelona has approved the agreement to contract Marcus Rashford on loan from Man United,” Romano wrote on social media.

The 27-year-old striker — who has spent a decade with United scoring 138 goals in 426 appearances — is scheduled for medical tests in Barcelona next week.

Rashford’s move to Camp Nou comes after Barcelona failed to secure their primary targets — Nico Williams who chose to stay at Athletic Bilbao and Luis Diaz who proved too expensive from Liverpool.

Ruben Amorim — Manchester United’s manager — has not included Rashford in his plans following the player’s return from loan at Aston Villa. The number 10 jersey previously worn by Rashford has now been given to Matheus Cunha.
