Vietnam begins ASEAN Cup U-23 campaign against Laos in Bekasi

Defending champions of ASEAN Cup U-23, Vietnam, began their journey in this year’s tournament against Laos at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi — marking their debut in this competition.

The team led by Kim Sang-sik from South Korea showed confidence against Laos — who previously drew 1-1 with Cambodia in their opening match.

The Golden Stars managed to take the lead through Khuat Van Khang‘s goal in the 18th minute — demonstrating their dominance as tournament defending champions.
