Victor Dethan determined to perform better against Malaysia

Victor Dethan, Indonesia U-23 national team winger, expressed his ambition to deliver better performance against Malaysia — following his team’s narrow victory over Philippines.

The Young Garuda squad managed to overcome Philippines with a 1-0 score in their second Group A match of ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta — with an own goal from the opponent determining the victory.

The PSM Makassar player emphasized that this positive result was not yet optimal — the team still needs improvement ahead of the crucial match against Malaysia at SUGBK.

“Certainly, we always have room for improvement,” stated Dethan after the match at SUGBK.
