Richie Duta Richardo Secures Crucial Victory at Asia Junior Championship

Richie Duta Richardo secured an important victory for Indonesia against Singapore in the third match of Group B at the 2025 Asia Junior Championship in GOR Indoor Manahan, Solo.

The 17-year-old player — who competed as the second singles player in the ninth match — initially faced challenges against Ding Han Jin.

“The difficulty at the start was that my game was often controlled by the opponent. It was like my gameplay was under their control,” Richie told BolaSport.com.

“However, at certain points, the situation suddenly changed. I could play neutrally again. So I managed to regain control of the game,” he added.

Richie acknowledged that his opponent had an advantage — having played earlier against Moh Zaki Ubaidillah in the first singles match, thus being more familiar with the court conditions.
