Vanenburg maintains U-23 midfield trio in ASEAN Cup

Gerald Vanenburg maintains the same midfield composition in Indonesia U-23’s first two matches at the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025, according to Bolasport.com.

The Young Garuda squad recorded positive results in both matches — defeating Brunei with a decisive 8-0 score and securing a narrow 1-0 victory over the Philippines.

Despite only two days between matches, the coach made rotations in several positions — the defense line underwent three changes:

• Alfharezzi Buffon, Kadek Arel, and Kakang Rudianto replaced Achmad Maulana Syarif, Brandon Scheunemann, and Muhammad Ferarri
• Hokky Caraka replaced Jens Raven in attack

Meanwhile, the midfield trio of Toni Firmansyah, Arkhan Fikri, and Robi Darwis remained unchanged as the primary choice in midfield.
