Indonesia U-23 national team coach Gerald Vanenburg revealed the reasoning behind his decision to start Hokky Caraka in the match against Philippines.

Vanenburg’s strategy — giving playing time to all squad members — was the main consideration in his player rotation.

Hokky Caraka, who played for 45 minutes in the first half — failed to create significant chances, with several long-range attempts missing the target.
