Oliver Solberg leads Rally Estonia after dominating opening day

Oliver Solberg delivered a stunning performance at Rally Estonia — leading the standings with a 12.4-second advantage over Hyundai’s Ott Tanak after the opening day.

The Toyota driver made history by securing three stage wins — including his first-ever WRC victory in the day’s second stage. Alongside co-driver Elliott Edmondson, Solberg, starting eighth on the road, quickly adapted to his new machinery.

“Today was the best day of my life — to lead the rally, win stages and have this amazing feeling in the car. I was like – I want to drift and have some fun,” said Solberg.

Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville climbed to third position — trailing the leader by 14.2 seconds, while defending champion Kalle Rovanpera sits fourth with a 20.1-second gap.

Nine stages covering 125.75 kilometers await the drivers on Saturday.
