Indonesian Junior Badminton Team Secures Two Victories on Opening Day

The Indonesian junior badminton team — led by Moh Zaki Ubaidillah — began their Asia Junior Championship 2025 campaign with two victories at GOR Indoor Manahan, Solo.

In Group B mixed team matches, Indonesia overcame Myanmar with a score of 110-47, followed by a 110-72 victory against Macau.

The match against Macau presented several challenges — particularly in women’s events. Women’s doubles pair Ian Chi Cheng/Ung Cheon Ian initially led 11-8 against Riska Anggraini/Jania Novalita Situmorang.

However, men’s singles player Richie Duta Richardo turned the tide by defeating Chio Chi Seng 14-3, changing the total score to 22-14 in Indonesia’s favor.
