Monyet Claims RRQ is in the Most Competitive Group at Pacific Stage 2

RRQ star Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha recently addressed his team’s loss in yesterday’s (July 17) opening match of VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 2.

Entering as the defending champions, RRQ delivered a disappointing debut performance against statistically weaker Global Esports side. This drew negative attention from the Valorant community, which had expected a strong showing from the squad.

Speaking to Valo2Asia after the match, Monyet expressed disappointment in their performance and promised strategic improvements to regain top form.

He also argued that Stage 2 has greater difficulty due to tougher opponents compared to previous competitions, adding that RRQ isn’t yet at the level to be considered rivals to top-tier teams.

“I think our group is pretty hard this season (Stage 2) compared to last time and compared to the other group. I don’t think we have any rivals, I think there’s no rivalry.”

RRQ is set to face their next major challenge on July 20 against Gen.G—who showing no signs of slowing and is hungry for revenge.
