Liverpool Joins Arsenal in Race to Sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid

According to Bolasport.com, Rodrygo Goes has become Liverpool and Arsenal’s target in this summer transfer window — a situation emerging after the player lost his starting position at Real Madrid.

The Brazilian winger’s future became uncertain after failing to gain coach Xabi Alonso’s trust during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup — his position now taken over by Gonzalo Garcia.

Ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Rodrygo needs a club that can guarantee regular playing time. Arsenal has offered a starting left-wing position to replace Gabriel Martinelli who performed inconsistently last season.

Though the 24-year-old’s natural position is on the right wing, he is believed to be ready to adapt to his new role on the left side — an offer now facing serious competition from Liverpool.
