Cadillac to Join F1 in 2026 with Bold NASA-Inspired Setup

Cadillac is set to enter Formula 1 in 2026 with a groundbreaking team structure inspired by NASA and supported by dual bases in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Backed by General Motors, the American manufacturer will operate from Indiana and Silverstone, aiming to staff up to 1,000 personnel before its debut. The team has already secured FIA approval to join the grid as the 11th constructor.

For its first three seasons (2026–2028), Cadillac will use Ferrari engines before introducing a GM-developed power unit in 2029.

Former Marussia F1 boss Graeme Lowdon and TWG Motorsports CEO Dan Towriss will lead the operation. Despite speculation about an all-American lineup, the team insists drivers will be selected purely on merit. Names like Mick Schumacher, Sergio Pérez, and Colton Herta have surfaced as potential candidates.

Cadillac’s arrival coincides with sweeping regulation changes in 2026—positioning the brand for a competitive and potentially disruptive F1 debut.
