Chen Long returns to Asian Junior as China team coach

According to Bolasport.com, Chen Long — holder of Olympic gold, silver, and bronze medals — appears at the 2025 Asian Junior Championships in a different role. The former 2007 Asian Junior champion now serves as China’s junior singles coach since late last year.

Chen Long’s coaching debut yielded positive results — China defeated the Philippines 110-69 in a Group C match at GOR Indoor Manahan, Solo. His two protégés, Xiao Gao Bo and Li Zhi Hang, made significant contributions to the victory.

The newly constructed venue completed last month — GOR Indoor Manahan with a capacity of 3,894 spectators — witnessed the successful Asian junior debut of the 36-year-old coach.
