Persija Products Dominate Indonesia U-23 National Team Defense Line

According to Bolasport.com, Indonesia U-23 national team’s defense line shows Persija Jakarta’s dominance in the four-back scheme implemented by coach Gerald Vanenburg.

In the recent match against Brunei Darussalam — three out of four defenders are Macan Kemayoran’s academy products:

• Muhammad Ferarri (center back)
• Achmad Maulana Syarif (right back)
• Dony Tri Pamungkas (right back)

The only non-Persija player in the defense line is Brandon Scheunemann. Among the three Persija products — only Dony Tri Pamungkas still represents the capital city club.

This defensive formation proved solid by recording a clean sheet and preventing Brunei Darussalam from making any shots on target, providing comfort for goalkeeper Muhammad Ardiansyah.
