PSSI Working to Recover Ole Romeny for World Cup Qualifiers

According to PSSI, Ole Romeny is currently undergoing recovery process in Netherlands after suffering an injury during President’s Cup 2025 — the 25-year-old player had to undergo surgery.

The injury occurred while representing Oxford United against Arema FC at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium — the incident happened when Arema FC player, Paulinho, stepped on Romeny’s foot.

PSSI with Chairman Erick Thohir is working to ensure swift recovery process — the main target is the 2026 World Cup Qualification matches against Saudi Arabia and Iraq scheduled for October.

“Ole Romeny will be absent in the upcoming matches,” stated Indonesia national team coach Patrick Kluivert, before PSSI took steps to accelerate recovery.
