Japan Open 2025 Schedule: 3 Indonesian Representatives Compete in Quarterfinals Today

Tokyo, July 18, 2025 – Three Indonesian representatives will compete in today’s quarterfinal round of the 2025 Japan Open, held at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. The BWF Super 750 tournament enters its final eight stage with matches starting at 08:00 AM WIB.

Indonesia’s remaining players come from three different disciplines. In men’s doubles, Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri will take on the top seeds from Malaysia, Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin, in the 10th match on court 1.

In women’s singles, Putri Kusuma Wardani (Putri KW) will be the first Indonesian to play today. She will face the second seed from China, Wang Zhi Yi, in the fifth match on court 2.

Meanwhile, in the women’s doubles, Lanny Tria Mayasari and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti are set to meet top-seeded Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning from China. Their match is the 10th scheduled on court 2.

Should all Indonesian players fail to advance, the team will leave Japan Open 2025 empty-handed. Of the 13 entries sent by Indonesia, 10 have already been eliminated before reaching the quarterfinals.
