Artist John Culshaw has just completed a tribute mural for Diogo Jota near Anfield stadium — adding to the collection of fan tributes for the player who died in a car accident near Zamora, Spain alongside his brother André Silva.

The mural immortalizes Jota’s celebration moment with hands forming a heart symbol.

“As Liverpool fans, we know how to deal with tragedy and show our appreciation to someone who has given us so much,” said Culshaw. “I picked this image because it shows Diogo sending love to the fans, and by immortalizing him in our city, we’re sending that love right back.”

Liverpool has announced the retirement of number 20 across all men’s and women’s team levels to honor Jota. The club also held various tributes during their first preseason match against Preston North End — before continuing their schedule against AC Milan in Hong Kong on July 26.
