Chelsea returns to glory after winning UEFA Conference League title

Chelsea has recorded a remarkable achievement as England’s most successful club in the 21st century — surpassing Manchester City’s trophy record. The Blues’ success began during Roman Abramovich’s ownership era in 2003, but experienced a decline after the ownership change in mid-2022.

Under the leadership of Enzo Maresca who was appointed last summer, Chelsea managed to bounce back and claim the UEFA Conference League title. The Blues defeated Real Betis 4-1 in the final match — despite initially falling behind through Abde Ezzalzouli’s goal.

This victory marks Chelsea’s resurgence after the ownership transition period from Abramovich to Todd Boehly which had impacted the club’s on-field performance.
