Hoki/Kobayashi set for pressure-free Japan Open 2025 campaign

According to BadmintonSpirit, Japanese doubles pair Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi are preparing for their challenge at Japan Open 2025 — their home tournament scheduled in the near future.

The former world number ones will begin their campaign against Taiwanese pair Lee Fang-chih and Lee Fang-jen in the first round — a match that promises intense competition.

“Japan Open is an important tournament held in Japan. I have prepared well so far, so now I just need to do my best on the actual stage,” stated Hoki.

Yugo Kobayashi, who has recently recovered from a knee injury, also expressed his readiness to compete.

“I had enough time to get fit, so I feel I’m in good condition. Since the Paris Olympics, I’ve been able to enjoy badminton more,” said Kobayashi.
