Gerald Vanenburg announces Indonesia U-23 squad for ASEAN Cup 2025

Gerald Vanenburg has announced the 23-player squad for Indonesia’s U-23 national team competing in the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025.

The tournament starting tomorrow sees Indonesia as the host nation — an opportunity to improve on their runner-up finish in the 2023 edition.

The Young Garuda team is drawn in Group A alongside three neighboring countries:

• Malaysia
• Philippines
• Brunei Darussalam

The announced squad includes Indonesia’s best young talents such as Muhammad Ferarri, Dony Tri Pamungkas, and Jens Raven — with a notable difference in the goalkeeper position compared to Shin Tae-yong’s era.

The three goalkeepers previously selected by Shin Tae-yong in the ASEAN Cup earlier this year — Cahya Supriadi, Daffa Fasya, and Erlangga Setyo — have again received opportunities to participate in the training camp under Vanenburg’s direction.
