Alex Marquez claims second podium in German MotoGP despite hand injury

Alex Marquez of BK8 Gresini Racing achieved a remarkable result by finishing second in the 11th round of 2025 German MotoGP at Sachsenring Circuit on Sunday (13/7).

This success becomes even more special — considering the Spanish rider was doubtful to perform optimally due to a left hand injury sustained in the previous race at Assen.

Despite temporarily dropping to fourth position behind Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi from Pertamina Enduro VR46 team — fortune favored Marquez when both riders crashed at Turn 1.

The biggest challenge emerged at the first right turn after a long straight and two fast left corners — however Alex Marquez maintained his position until the finish line to secure a valuable second podium.
