Veda Ega Pratama claims dramatic victory at Red Bull Rookies Cup Sachsenring

Veda Ega Pratama achieved a remarkable feat in the second race of the fifth series Red Bull Rookies Cup 2025 at Sachsenring, Germany — demonstrating exceptional comeback abilities.

The young Indonesian rider started from seventh position, temporarily dropped to 13th place — but managed to lead the race until crossing the finish line as winner.

Red Bull Rookies Cup 2025 Rider Development Director, Peter Clifford, had seen great potential in Veda before the race began.

“He had a great race yesterday in wet conditions and only narrowly missed the podium in the final lap,” said Clifford before Race 2.

Veda’s professional attitude after missing the podium in Race 1 received special appreciation.

“I tried to be there, for the podium, but there were many maneuvers and my strategy didn’t work this time. But it’s okay, that’s racing, I still got good points so I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s race,” Veda said after Race 1.
