Shayne Pattynama Ready to Fight Alongside Thai League Champions

Shayne Pattynama has officially begun a new chapter in his football career by joining Buriram United, the reigning champions of the Thai League.

The Indonesian-Dutch left-back, who previously spent his professional career in Europe — including stints with Viking FK in Norway and SC Telstar in the Netherlands — is now set to make his mark in Asian football. His arrival is seen as a key reinforcement for Buriram United as they aim to defend their league title and continue their domestic dominance.

“It feels really good. This is a big team — a massive club in Thailand,” said Pattynama after being formally unveiled by the club.

Pattynama’s versatility and international experience are expected to add depth and stability to Buriram’s backline. With the 2025–2026 season approaching, the club is banking on his quality to boost their defensive resilience in both league and cup competitions.

His move also represents a significant step for Indonesian football, as Pattynama becomes one of the few Indonesian internationals competing in Southeast Asia’s top-tier leagues — a sign of growing regional recognition for the nation’s football talent.

As Buriram United gears up for another demanding season, all eyes will be on how quickly Pattynama adapts and contributes to the club’s ambitions both on the domestic and regional stage.
