Nafuzi Zain focuses on Philippines in ASEAN Cup U-23 opener

Coach Nafuzi Zain with Malaysia U-23 national team — is ready to begin their adventure in the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 to be held in Jakarta.

The Young Tigers are placed in Group A alongside:

• Indonesia U-23 National Team
• Philippines U-23 National Team
• Brunei Darussalam U-23 National Team

Malaysia’s match schedule at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium — starts against Philippines on July 15, continues against Brunei three days later, and concludes with a match against Indonesia on July 21.

Nafuzi Zain — who previously coached Terengganu, emphasizes his focus on the opening match against Philippines. “The first match is crucial as it will determine the team’s momentum throughout the tournament,” he stated.
