Port FC becomes first foreign club to win President’s Cup

Port FC has written new history in the 2025 President’s Cup — becoming the first foreign club to win this pre-season tournament since its inception in 2015.

The Thai team featuring Indonesian national team defender Asnawi Mangkualam defeated Oxford United 2-1 at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung.

Port FC’s goals were scored by Teerasak Poeiphimai in the 44th minute and Barayan Perea in the 48th minute — while Oxford United could only respond through Mark Harris in the 9th minute.

“I’m very happy our club could finish this tournament by bringing home the trophy. Thank you to everyone who has supported us,” said Asnawi Mangkualam.

Port FC’s success is particularly special as this tournament — for the first time invited two foreign clubs, Port FC and Oxford United, as participants.
