A’ja Wilson Returns with Brilliant Performance, Aces Defeat Valkyries

Three-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson made an impressive return from a wrist injury — recording 34 points and 16 rebounds as Las Vegas Aces defeated Golden State Valkyries 104-102 at home.

“It is very hard for me to sit out games. I want to be out there with my team, but I’m going to continue to play through it because they’re going to make sure that I’m ready and I’m comfortable,” stated Wilson.

The left-handed shooter showed remarkable efficiency — converting 12 of 16 field goal attempts and 9 of 12 free throws. Jackie Young also delivered a strong performance with 30 points, making 9 of 14 shots and perfect 11 free throws.

This victory marks an important milestone for the Aces who now hold a 10-11 record — before facing their final game against Dallas heading into the All-Star break. Both Wilson and Young will feature in the All-Star game as starter and reserve respectively.
