Indonesian men’s volleyball team faces crucial match against Philippines in SEA V League

The Indonesian men’s volleyball team is set to play their final match of SEA V League 2025’s first leg against Philippines at Candon City Arena — scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Rivan Nurmulki and teammates have just secured their second victory after defeating Vietnam with a score of 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-8) in a closely contested match.

“We made many mistakes, especially during serves. Vietnam gained many points from our errors,” stated Indonesian men’s volleyball team Assistant Coach, Erwin Rusni.

“Hopefully this result won’t affect players’ physical condition. We play the last match tomorrow against Philippines. I hope everyone can maintain their condition well,” he added.

Despite the victory, Indonesia remains in third place with two points — while Vietnam leads the standings with seven points after previously recording wins against Cambodia and Thailand.
