Cadillac dominates WEC Interlagos qualifying with 1-2 result

The Jota team with Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh cars demonstrated their dominance once again — securing front row positions in the WEC qualifying round at Interlagos Circuit. Alex Lynn claimed pole position with a time of 1 minute 22.570 seconds, while his teammate Sébastien Bourdais took second place just one-tenth of a second behind.

Third position went to Julien Andlauer driving the Penske team’s Porsche 963 LMDh with a time of 1 minute 22.834 seconds. Malthe Jakobsen in the Peugeot 9X8 2024 secured fourth position after setting a time of 1 minute 22.948 seconds late in the session.

In the LMGT3 class, home driver Eduardo Barrichello — son of former Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello — achieved an impressive feat by claiming pole position in the Racing Spirit of Léman’s Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

The Sao Paulo 6 Hours, which marks the fifth round of the 2025 WEC, will begin at 11:30 local time on Sunday.
