Red Bull RB21 Faces Serious Performance Issues

According to Sky Sports F1 commentator, Red Bull ignored warnings about the RB21 being “undriveable” — a decision that now seriously impacts team performance.

The Milton Keynes-based team currently sits fourth in the constructors’ standings, trailing championship leaders McLaren by 288 points at the season’s halfway point. Max Verstappen and teammate Yuki Tsunoda are struggling with the RB21, with Tsunoda collecting only seven points since joining before the Japanese GP.

“Red Bull has designed the fastest car possible according to data, but it’s undriveable. They were warned about this by the design team, but ignored it,” revealed David Croft.

At the British GP, Max Verstappen managed to finish fifth despite a spin — demonstrating his ability to overcome the car’s limitations. Meanwhile, Tsunoda continues to struggle adapting to the vehicle.

“Sometimes you have dominant years, good years where you can win a lot. Sometimes maybe not, or not at all,” Verstappen commented to media.

The situation is further complicated by last season’s balance issues that continue to affect this year’s car development.
