Hoon Confirms His Team Has Fully Moved On to Honor of Kings NA

Hoon BTK 2024

S8UL Esports‘ Jang “Hoon” Seong-hun recently stated that he and his team are focusing on competing in Honor of Kings, which has launched a dedicated North American esports circuit.

During recent HoK livestreams on his personal channel, Hoon has been intensely grinding the game’s Peak mode, aiming to climb the leaderboard. He expressed his desire to become one of the best players in NA soon, noting his frequent teammates share the same goal.

Hoon also mentioned that Tencent, HoK’s publisher, is preparing exciting plans to boost the game’s NA esports scene. Specific details about the upcoming event, including dates and potential invitees, are still unclear.

Regarding recent controversies, Hoon hasn’t officially confirmed his or his teammates’ status with S8UL. Sources close to him, however, indicate they are willing to end their MLBB contracts and regroup as BloodThirstyKing to compete in HoK.

Given the current situation, Hoon and his teammates seem to be leaving MLBB behind. They haven’t streamed the game recently and appear to have moved on permanently. This shift follows the significant strain in their relationship with MLBB developer Moonton, especially after Hoon and his S8UL teammate Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun were named as the main reason from their team’s MSC x EWC 2025 disqualification.
