Kostecki Ends Dick Johnson Racing’s Victory Drought in Townsville

Brodie Kostecki has led Dick Johnson Racing back to victory lane after a two-year drought by winning race 20 of the 2025 Supercars championship on the Townsville street circuit, North Queensland.

The Ford Mustang driver — who claimed his 16th career pole position and first since joining DJR at the start of this season — dominated the race from start to finish with a 4.31-second advantage over Tickford Racing’s Cam Waters.

“I had Cam breathing down my back for the whole race so I knew I could not make any mistakes,” said the 2023 Supercars champion after securing his second podium finish this season.

Team 18’s Anton De Pasquale completed the podium after overtaking two drivers in the early stages of the 35-lap race.

The championship standings continue to be led by Broc Feeney with 1519 points, followed by Matt Payne (1336) who moved up to second position, and Will Brown (1331) now in third.

The next race will take place tomorrow with qualifying beginning at 10:00 AM local time, followed by the Top 10 Shoot Out and the main 70-lap race.
