Di Giannantonio Speaks Out About Acosta to VR46 Rumors

VR46 rider Fabio Di Giannantonio responds sarcastically to rumors of Pedro Acosta joining his team — following Acosta’s visit to the Ducati museum and photo session at VR46 team area during the Italian MotoGP.

“I’m at Ducati with an amazing team and feeling happy — so I don’t care what Pedro does,” Di Giannantonio told GPone.com after the Dutch GP.

“I sympathize with his team because it’s not good to talk too much about other manufacturers. Maybe he should focus on himself, considering many KTM riders are performing well.”

Former Aprilia team director Carlo Pernat highlights this situation — suggesting Acosta’s future depends on KTM’s decisions amid financial challenges. KTM hasn’t confirmed whether they’ll maintain both factory and satellite teams, or just the factory team.

“His contract isn’t the easiest to terminate. We must see KTM’s next moves because there are complicated situations there. Pedro Acosta will certainly do everything for a Ducati bike, and both Ducati and Valentino Rossi would welcome him with open arms.”
