Team Falcons Dota 2 Slump Continues as They Face EWC 2025 Elimination Risk

Team Falcons‘ slump seems to continue, as they showing poor form heading into the final day of the Dota 2 EWC 2025 group stage in Saudi Arabia.

The home team had a very disappointing start, losing their first two matches and now sits at the bottom of Group B. They were held to a draw by underdogs Execration and then shockingly lost without winning a single game against BetBoom.

With a current record of 0 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss, they must make the most of their final match tomorrow afternoon (July 10th) against rivals Gaimin Gladiators, and also relying on Execration to shock BetBoom. Although GG boys are also battling with their own problems, they are not an ideal opponents for Falcons in their current state.

Tomorrow’s result could extend the organization’s long trophy drought if they fail to secure a playoff spot. Their last trophy moment was at DreamLeague Season 24 back in November 2024, and haven’t won a single trophy since.

This is especially disappointing for their fans, considering nearly every player on the team has previously won multiple major tournaments, including The International. Their two star players, Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf and Oliver “skiter” Lepko, are even considered among the top carry players in the global Dota scene.
