Indonesian men’s volleyball team drops in FIVB world rankings

The Indonesian men’s national volleyball team has experienced a significant decline in FIVB rankings — dropping from 54th to 63rd position worldwide after recent matches.

The situation worsened when the team lost to Thailand with a score of 1-3 (25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 20-25) in the opening match of SEA V League 2025 at Candon City Arena, Philippines.

This defeat — resulting in a 5.46 ranking points reduction — came at a crucial time when SEA V League was just included in the FIVB world ranking point system.

Previously at AVC Nations Cup 2025, Indonesia recorded an underwhelming performance — suffering three losses out of five matches, despite managing narrow 3-2 victories against Thailand and Vietnam.
